Gulmarg Gondola to remain closed from Sep 22-29 | KNO

Srinagar, Sep 11 (KNO): The Gulmarg Gondola will remain closed from September 22 to 29 for annual inspection and maintenance, the Jammu and Kashmir Cable Car Corporation (JKCCC) said on Thursday. An official of JKCCC informed the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the temporary closure is a routine safety measure undertaken every year to ensure smooth and secure operations of the world-famous cable car service. “The Gondola shall remain closed from 22nd September to 29th September due to scheduled annual inspection and maintenance. Inconvenience caused is regretted”, the official statement read. The Gulmarg Gondola, Asia’s largest and highest cable car project, attracts hundreds of tourists daily and is considered one of the prime attractions in Kashmir—(KNO)
